TANK FARM & SYRUP ROOM, Richlands
Coca-Cola Amatil Facilities Expansion

Client: Coca-Cola Amatil
Year: 2018
Industry: Beverages
Location: Queensland

A $165 million expansion at the CCA Richlands site has allowed the plant to increase production to 90 million unit cases of drink each year. The new capacity will make this CCA site Australia’s largest beverage making sites. TFG Group was proud to have completed the upgrade in the UHT and the glass bottling line. Simultaneously, TFG was also awarded the new alcohol tank farm expansion and syrup room manifolds.

TFG engaged specialised tradesmen to expand the existing alcohol tank farm from two tanks to 10. TFG fabricated and installed valve manifolds, product, CIP and services piping and access platforms throughout the new tank farm and integrated this into the existing farm. TFG was working beside and inside a hazardous area for the duration of the project and abided by all site health and safety guidelines. The expansion was done over a tight timeframe of three months.

TFG fabricated 13 valve manifolds complete with SPX mix proof valves, compressed air headers and drip trays. Each manifold was welded using our orbital welder, giving each weld a precise and consistent finish, then mounted into its own frame with adjustable feet. Stainless steel 316 was used in this project.

TFG is proud to be associated with Coca-Cola Amatil throughout the nine month Richlands project. TFG prides itself on the highest standard of safety and this project demanded attention to detail and working in production areas with critical deadlines.
