The fractionation facility at Broadmeadows required 18 separate skids to support pipework, valves and electrical connections for Level 2 & 3 of the facility. As the incumbent contractor with an exceptional track record of fabrication and installation of components, TFG were pleased to be awarded this project which also included the installation of the skids as well as additional pipework for piping systems.

The project was divided into two components.

1. Fabrication and installation of all piping, including nominated gaskets and clamps to complete the piping systems on Level 2 & 3 of the fractionation facility.
2. Design, fabrication and installation of skid frames to house pipework including pump stands, pump covers, cable tray baskets, mounting of electrical equipment.

TFG utilised their offsite workshop team in our large, modern workshop facilities in Northcorp Boulevard, Broadmeadows. This team worked closely with both CSL and the builder ICON to ensure all schedules were met. TFG’s flexibility to manage both on site and off site labour to suit both work fronts has been commended, with the fabrication of the skids finalised ahead of schedule.

Installation of the skids took place in 2 stages with the complete project due to be completed by March 2021

All pipework was welded with our Orbimax Orbital welding machines and each skid fully wired by Control IT. All works were performed and documented to International & Australian Standards using our in-house QA procedures and in accordance with our ISO 9001 accreditation.
