As the incumbent contractor on site at CSL Behring’s upgrade and expansion of their Broadmeadows facility, TFG were awarded the contract to fabricate and install support frames and pumping station for sodium hydroxide used throughout the facility.  

The project involved the fabrication and installation of all required:

• Piping spools
• Storage and distribution station
• Pipe supports
• Equipment frames and structures
• Mechanical installation of all free issued equipment including valves, actuators.
• Flushing and pressure testing all constructed systems

Due to the various contractors working on the Broadmeadows site and to reduce overall installation time, TFG fabricated 95% of the framework in their Broadmeadows workshop, before transporting the frames to site for installation. This method ensured the project was completed on schedule while minimising disruption at the site.

All works were performed and documented to International & Australian Standards using our in-house QA procedures and in accordance with our ISO 9001 accreditation. All materials were designed to meet ASME/BPE specifications and full traceability was supplied for all fittings and weld maps. Welds were documented to ASME BPE 2012 Bioprocessing Equipment Standard.
