TFG Group were the main mechanical installation company to complete the major flavoured milk upgrade at Project Pearl in Bentley, Western Australia. TFG installed a new CIP system, along with three kilometres of stainless steel 316 tube for Lion Dairy & Drinks with the automation project completed by Process Partners.
There were many stages to the plants upgrade which included modifications to the raw intake and tanker bay to integrate to the new CIP system; the removal and installation of two Tetra Fast sterile rooms; a new cream pasteuriser and complete CIP Plant (four tanks), upgrades to the pre-filler storage system and mix tank with fabricated tank manifolds installed and pipework including tanks and PSF valve manifold.
Stage two involved swapping the tie ins to existing systems to allow minimum downtime to the milk production process.
A major component of this project was to have zero lost production time at the plant. This required TFG to manage and work to production schedules at the factory such as installing, fabricating and completing all major works in the aseptic environment on weekends and during non-production periods. TFG was successful in completing the project with no lost hours in production to the client.
Masters is the largest flavoured milk brand in Western Australia and has been the taste of the West since 1964. TFG was proud to be associated with Masters, Lion Dairy & Drinks and Process Partners throughout the 12 month project which was successfully completed in 9000 hours MTI and LTI free.
