Year: 2017-2018
Industry: Dairy
Location: South Australia

TFG Group was awarded the mechanical installation at the Beston Pure Foods Mozzarella Cheese factory in Jervois, South Australia. A team of 14 qualified tradesmen were contracted to install the new plant at the brownfield site including the supply and install of all process and service pipework and valve manifolds. The manifolds were fabricated offsite to assist with the accelerating project timeline of six months. TFG also installed eight modified cheese vats and approximately three kilometres of 316 stainless steel pipe and upgraded the CIP set and pasteuriser room. Orbital welders were used to maintain the sanitary grade required in such a facility.

The factory is equipped with highly-automated, state-of-the-art machinery and technology capable of pasteurising 38,000 litres of milk and producing 3.8 tonne of mozzarella cheese every hour. The steam-injected plant will enable moisture to vary whilst also severely reducing waste water.

TFG successfully completed the project ensuring safety was the number one priority on site with zero MTI’s or LTI’s. Over 10,000 hours were worked within the tight timeframe to ensure the project was delivered on time and within budget.
