In 2010, Kaefer awarded TFG Group a contract to fabricate six portable blast rooms for use in their resources projects throughout Western Australia.

Each blast room was manufactured to include ventilation and air conditioning with the blasting room fully ventilated and insulated from the external environment.

The most important aspect of the blast rooms was their ability to be transported from site to site as Kaefer’s project requirements changed. TFG worked with Kaefer’s draft engineers to assist with this process.

TFG’s experience in building transportable skid-mounted equipment allowed the TFG team to suggest modifications to the skid system to allow for a multiple lifting option depending on the site requirements and plant availability.
