In 2009, Coca-Cola Amatil (Aust) announced it would invest up to US$430m to install blow-fill technology across all production plants in their Asia Pacific region.

Blow-fill technology automates the bottling and packaging process and leads to a 20 per cent reduction in the carbon footprint of each container. Some of these carbon savings comes from a reduction in the amount of PET resin required, with other energy savings gained from the elimination of transport to separate bottling facilities.

TFG Group installed five new blow-fill lines in a number of Coca-Cola Amatil’s production facilities including Perth WA, Thebarton SA & Bayswater VIC.
