Lowood Waste Water Treatment Plant

Client: Broadspectrum (AUS) PL
Year: 2019
Industry: Water
Location: Queensland

TFG Group successfully completed the structural mechanical piping for Broadspectrum at the Greenfield sewage treatment plant in Lowood. The new three storey treatment plant will service the Lowood and Fernvale areas, replacing their existing treatment plants and connecting the Ferny Gully sewage pump station in Fernvale to the new Lowood facility.

TFG efficiently manufactured, supplied and installed 316 stainless steel pipe spools and pipe supports ranging from 80NB to 400NB at the new sewage treatment plant.

TFG compiled and submitted a Manufacturing Data Report in line with Queensland water authority standards and provided full documentation to meet their QA requirements. All pipes were 100% hydrostatic tested and 10% radiographic testing performed on all welds.

The new plant constructed in Vernor will be capable of treating up to 1.5 million litres of water per day to cater for approximately 8.800 people and to meet the needs of future growth.
