As part of Graincorp’s consolidation strategy, Meadowlea margarine products will be produced from the Footscray, Victoria facility from 2016.
SPX Flow Technology, on behalf of Graincorp awarded TFG Group a contract to install the new Meadowlea margarine production line in early 2015.
The TFG team included a number of specialised welders, fitters and installation specialists to ensure the project’s tight lead time of 24 weeks to completion was met with zero safety incidents. Aseptic welding techniques were implemented to ensure the highest level of hygiene and to prevent bacterial contamination in the products.
TFG Group’s Fabrication division assisted by fabricating a Clean in Place (CIP) system. This CIP system was designed for a three-stage caustic, acid and water rinsing cycle. All product lines were a jacketed pipe work to ensure the internal temperature stays at 80+ degrees Celsius.
TFG also manufactured and installed the stainless steel tank access platforms.
