As part of the $150m greenfield facility for Bundaberg Brewed Drinks, TFG Group were proud to also be awarded the mechanical installation contract for the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). Historically, wastewater generated through the beverage production process had been disposed of via a trade waste agreement. With the new facility came an opportunity to build a WWTP which would allow waste to be treated onsite and disposed of safely. The treated wastewater will be reused for irrigation of landscaped areas around the facility, process water within the WWTP, non-potable water uses within the facility and broadacre irrigation around the lot.

To ensure an accelerated and cost-effective installation, all structure and pipe spools were fabricated in the TFG workshop.

TFG were engaged to complete the following mechanical installation of the plant:

• The fabrication, installation and testing of all pipework.
• The design, fabrication and installation of all pipe supports.
• The installation of all equipment (pumps, membranes, blowers, etc.)
• The installation of instrumentation (excluding electrical connection).
• Coordination and integration with the civil and electrical contractors.

TFG completed all site installation works and hydrotesting of the facility prior to wet commissioning and handover. The project was successfully on budget and with zero safety incidents.
